Date: August 2nd 2025,
On August 2nd 2025, we, the students of Class 10 C, had the opportunity to visit
Rainbow Home, a shelter for orphaned girls between the ages of 7 and 16. The
visit was part of our outreach initiative and was guided by our teachers, Ms. Jibi
and Mr. Tenzing.
All the children at Rainbow Home have come from diverse backgrounds and
regions, yet they live together with remarkable unity and spirit. Our time with
them was truly wholesome and meaningful. We performed a few dances for
them, and they, in turn, delighted us with energetic and joyful performances of
their own. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and heartfelt
conversation, creating a bond that was both touching and unforgettable.
Despite the challenges they have faced, the girls welcomed us with warmth and
enthusiasm. Their resilience and positivity left a deep impact on us. This visit
reminded us of the strength of the human spirit and the importance of
appreciating life’s simple joys. We also learned valuable lessons in empathy,
compassion, and shared humanity.
The experience made us reflect on how fortunate we are and how often we take
things for granted. It left us inspired and grateful, with a renewed desire to give
back to society in any way we can.
Our visit to Rainbow Home was not just an outreach activity—it was a heart-
opening journey that will remain with us for a long time.
