Class 11 B organized an outreach programme at the “Friends in Need Society, Shivajinagar, Bengaluru”, wherein, the students were accompanied by Ms. Annette and Mr. Umar, with the aim of spending meaningful time with the residents and bringing joy to their day. As we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with smiles. We introduced ourselves and interacted with everyone, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere.
The programme began with a group song, which was well received by the audience. Diya then presented a beautiful violin performance, and everyone listened attentively and appreciated it with an enthusiastic applause.
To make the visit more engaging, we organized a lively game of Tambola for the 30 participants. Tickets were distributed, and we patiently explained the rules to ensure everyone could take part.
Many residents who couldn't play, were aided with the help of our fellow friends. Each participant chose a number, and the game was conducted in a cheerful and exciting manner. Prizes were awarded for the first five winners, the top row, middle row, bottom row, and a full house. The residents thoroughly enjoyed the activity, and one of them even blessed us, making the experience especially memorable.
The programme concluded with refreshments, where we offered the residents cupcakes and chips. The outreach visit was a heartwarming experience that strengthened our values of empathy, kindness, and community service, leaving both the residents and the students with cherished memories
