Doctrine Retreat

The event began promptly at 7:45 a.m. with the attendance. Students from class 5 to 12 were the attendees of the retreat. The attendance was well- managed, and all participants were seated in the Duschesne Hall for the programs ahead.

Elsa, the Doctrine student Coordinator, officially opened the event at 8:00 am. She extended a warm welcome to all Redemptorist Pastoral Year Priests, students and teachers highlighting the purpose and significance of the gathering. The welcoming remarks set a positive and spiritual tone for the day and encouraged active participation.

Following the welcome, the program transitioned into a session of Praise and Worship led by the Redemptorist Priests. The session was held from 8:10 a.m. to 8:40 a.m.. The music and worship activities were engaging and uplifting, contributing to a spiritually enriching experience. Students actively participated, and the atmosphere was filled with reverent enthusiasm.

After Praise and Worship, the students were divided into smaller groups for more focused sessions. This division was managed efficiently, with each group receiving instructions from the concerned teachers. The groups were organized based on the standard they were in, ensuring that discussions and activities were relevant to the participants.

The group sessions commenced at 8:50 a.m. and continued until 11:20 a.m. with a short tea break in between. The sessions were facilitated by the Priests in the designated locations, and they all provided insightful guidance, knowledge and support. Feedback from participants indicated that the sessions were informative, spiritual and interactive.

Following the sessions, the program included a period of Adoration. This time was dedicated to personal reflection and prayer, allowing students to deepen their spiritual connection. The Adoration was led by the Priests, who created a serene and contemplative environment.

The Holy Eucharist was celebrated at 12:05 p.m.. The service was a solemn and spiritually uplifting experience for all present. The ceremony was conducted with reverence, and the congregation participated fully in the celebration of the Eucharist.

At the conclusion of the Holy Eucharist, Carol Biju, the Assistant Doctrine Student Coordinator delivered the Vote of Thanks. She expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the event, including the Priests, teachers, volunteers, and participants. The acknowledgment of efforts and contributions was well-received and appreciated by everyone.

The students were officially dismissed then. The dismissal was orderly, and participants left with a sense of fulfilment and appreciation for the day's activities. They were also provided lunch from the school while leaving. Overall, the event was a resounding success. The schedule was adhered to efficiently, and all segments of the program were executed smoothly.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the effectiveness of the sessions and the spiritual enrichment provided. The event achieved its objectives and left a lasting impression on all attendees.
