prayed for blessings on a united India and a prosperous Diwali which truly
signifies the victory of light over darkness.
The entire gathering of kids and adults took a pledge of mutual respect, unity
and peace.
An Inter-Faith Diwali wishing was held where religious heads and gurus of the
Hindu, Muslim and Christian community spoke in favour of harmony and
peace and wished everyone a happy Diwali.
The LED screen installed on the stage created the best backgrounds for the
children's dances and presentations. The children brought the house down
with their cheering especially at the grand finale at the electrifying spectacle
created by electronic flower pots ignited near the stage.
All through the day, Father Edward honoured the distinguished guests from
various walks of life who addressed everyone from time to time.
The mega Diwali cheer continued from breakfast to lunch to snacks which
were served before winding up in the evening as the Dream India Network
Diwali party at with 600 children from over 70 foster homes came to a close.
The happy smiles and twinkling eyes of all the children was enough proof of a
day well spent.
