As part of the teacher enrichment programme, Sophia High School arranged an enlightening session on the topic “Reach Before You Teach”. It was organised by Password Publishing House Pvt. Ltd. The Guest Speaker for this session Mrs. Jyoti Swaroop, a retired teacher and a renowned Educational Consultant highlighted the goals of Online Education.
The Goals for this session were:
1) Effective engagement of students during online learning.
2) Care for the mental health of all stakeholders
3) Bridging a link to future learning formats.
The speaker elaborated on
● How important it is to have blended learning in our teaching.
● Principles of online learning
● How to convert negative stress to constructive stress.
● How to reach out to students.
● How to engage attention by using effective attention getters.
● Making use of activities and games to combat mental fatigue.
Overall it was a very interesting and knowledgeable experience.
