KISA Inter-school Competition

KISA, or the Karnataka ICSE Schools Association, is an organisation of schools within Karnataka affiliated with CISCE. Every year, KISA organises KISA Utsav, a state-level event with several different competitions, clearing which students compete at the national level.

  In 2022, Sophia High School sent 16 participants to KISA Utsav, which was conducted in Christ Academy, Bangalore. There were 4 participants in the sub-junior category, 5 in the junior category and 7 in the senior category. The students partook in various competitions including Debate, Declamation, Quiz, Creative Writing and Painting. Of these, Sophia High School won awards in four of the events.

 The event exposed students to a high level of competition from some of the finest young talents in Karnataka. Being able to attend an event like it, especially offline after two years in a lockdown, was a true learning experience for all the students.

  The support from the school, the teachers and Sister Alpana was also key to making the experience a success and their faith and encouragement cannot be left unthanked.
