Interschool Academic and Cultural Fest of Sophia High School

Levitate 2026, the flagship interschool academic and cultural fest of Sophia High School, was held on Friday, 7 August 2026, from 7:50 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The second edition of Levitate brought together 22+ school delegations and over 1,200 participants, making it a vibrant celebration of talent, creativity, knowledge, and collaboration.

The fest featured 20+ events across a wide range of disciplines, including music, dance, art, media, literary events, and academic competitions. The academic segment encompassed diverse areas such as Science, Commerce, Mathematics, Legal Studies, Psychology, and Doctrine, providing participants with opportunities to showcase not only their artistic abilities but also their intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and subject knowledge.

Opening Ceremony
The day commenced with the Opening Ceremony, setting an energetic and celebratory tone for the fest. The ceremony began with a Prayer Service, followed by the traditional Lighting of the Lamp by the distinguished special guests.

The school was honoured to welcome renowned musician and singer
Mr. Ebenezer Premkumar as the Chief Guest, accompanied by his wife,
Mrs. Rebecca Ebenezer.
Mr. Premkumar addressed the gathering with an inspiring and engaging speech, encouraging the young participants to pursue their passions and make the most of the opportunities presented to them. He further delighted the audience by singing a few songs, creating a memorable beginning to the day.

The opening ceremony was enriched by captivating performances by the Sophia Chorale and the Levitate Dance Group, whose performances showcased the talent and enthusiasm of the students of Sophia High School.

Competitions and Events
Following the opening ceremony, the various competitions commenced across the school campus. With 20+ events conducted simultaneously across multiple categories, the fest provided a dynamic platform for students from participating schools to compete, collaborate, perform, create, and learn.

The events were conducted efficiently and, notably, began and concluded on schedule. The coordination and planning by the organising teams ensured smooth movement of participants, judges, teachers, and volunteers throughout the day. The participating schools and judges gave highly positive feedback on the organisation, variety of events, time management, and overall experience of the fest. The enthusiasm and sportsmanship displayed by the participants contributed significantly to the success of Levitate 2026.

Closing Ceremony
The day concluded with an energetic and entertaining Closing Ceremony. The all-girl Sophia Untitled Band opened the celebrations with a lively musical performance, followed by an engaging and entertaining round of karaoke, which saw enthusiastic participation and added a relaxed and celebratory spirit to the evening.
The audience was then treated to the much-awaited Sophia Fashion Show, presented by the ISC students. The Warp and The West showcased creativity, confidence, and style, providing a spectacular visual finale to the formal programme.
This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, which was conducted smoothly. Students and teams were recognised for their outstanding performances across the various events. The coveted Best Delegation Award was won by MCC, marking a fitting conclusion to the competitive aspect of the fest.

Conclusion
Levitate 2026 concluded on a high note with a celebration party at the Stone Stage, bringing together students, staff, volunteers, and participants in a final evening of music, celebration, and camaraderie. Following the celebration, all participants were dismissed from the Stone Stage. The successful completion of Levitate 2026 was the result of the collective effort, meticulous planning, dedication, and teamwork of the management, staff, students, volunteers, judges, and support teams of Sophia High School. The fest successfully fulfilled its vision of providing a platform where young minds could compete, create, express themselves, and celebrate their diverse talents.

With its impressive participation, wide range of events, seamless execution, and overwhelmingly positive feedback, Levitate 2026 stands as a memorable and successful edition of Sophia High School’s flagship interschool fest.
