Opening Day Assembly

Your dreams await your arrival- June

The new academic year 2021-22 began with a virtual assembly posted on YouTube with the theme “your dreams await your arrival”.

The assembly had a compilation of prayer, reading from the Holy Bible, intentions, pictures of different scriptures, hand mudras and a video that captured memorable moments of Sophia life.

The essence of the assembly was to generate positivity in the new year and begin on a note of hope. It reiterated that human beings are God’s masterpiece and always guided by the Divine Will. The hands which are the “tool of tools” are guided by the Will of the Almighty and urges one to work for the good of oneself and for others. Sophia nurtures a valuable trait in her children, to not only think of oneself but to reach out to others.

Sr. Anjana, Principal of the Primary school, led us in prayer. Principal of the opportunity school, Sr. Madhuja initiated the Bible reading as well as the message and inspiration from the passage. Sr. Alpana meaningfully gathered our thoughts to deliver her message through a powerful story of the power that is in our hands to create or destroy.

Members of the Staff Council took part in the opening day assembly. The video was compiled by Mr. Abishek.

Teachers and students watched the assembly live on June 7 which was followed by a class discussion led by the class teachers in their respective Moral science classes.
