Sports Rehearsal


Sports Rehearsal Day was held on 3rd July 2024 and was a vibrant display of enthusiasm, unity, and athletic prowess, with each event adding a unique flavour to the grand spectacle. The Chief guest for the day was Mrs. Geetha Suryanarayan and the Guest of honour was Sr. Priscilla the Vice Provincial of the Sisters of Notre Dame Our Lady of Visitation Province. The March Past, with students from the four houses, NCC, students from Sophia Opportunity school and Sophia Brass Band marched in perfect synchronisation and set a tone of discipline and unity. The Torch Relay symbolised the spirit of sportsmanship and as the oath was taken, a sense of commitment and fair play resonated through the grounds.

The Prize Distribution for Middle School Juniors was joyful and celebrated, acknowledging the budding talents and encouraging young athletes. The Cuvilly Display ‘Care for Creation’ showcased intricate formations captivating the audience. The Inter House Relay was a thrilling race, emphasising speed and strategic teamwork, while the Leans Display of Hula Hoops brought an element of artistic athleticism, demonstrating balance and coordination. Prize Distribution for Middle School Seniors highlighted the achievements of older students, inspiring peers and younger participants alike. Aerobics added energy and rhythm, with students performing synchronised movements that highlighted their agility and stamina. Various other races kept the excitement high, each showcasing competitive spirit and resilience.

The NCC Display was a powerful exhibition of discipline and strength, instilling a sense of national pride. Tug of War, a test of strength and unity, saw houses pulling together in a show of camaraderie. Mass Calisthenics involved all students in a coordinated exercise routine, emphasizing the importance of fitness and teamwork. The Chief guest in her speech spoke about the importance of sports in our lives and urged the students to play at least one game to keep themselves fit. The Closing Ceremony was marked by a blend of celebration and reflection, bringing the day to a harmonious end, reinforcing the values of sportsmanship and collective effort.
