St. Julie’s Day

The life of a saint is always inspiring and remains a motivation for many. Saint Julie is one such an inspiring saint for the Notre Dame community and the Sophia family, being the Spiritual Mother for us, St. Julie continues to bless us and guide us in all our endeavours. 12 th July every year is day of great celebrations in Sophia high school as we come together to honour our ‘Smiling Saint Julie’ on her birthday.

This year with Covid19 pandemic crippling our lives, being far from one another,yet we joined in as a family to offer our thanksgiving to St. Julie in a simple virtual assembly hosted by Mater building staff and students. The theme for this year being ‘Living St. Julie’s Spirit Today’ the students in a meaningful virtual assembly spoke of the qualities of St Julie that we need to develop in this testing time of Covid19. As always, the motivating speech of our Principal Sr. Alpana invited the young minds to reflect to the world their beautiful smiles and make it a better place to live in. The final clippings of the assembly reflected the services done by the sisters of Notre Dame and the management of Sophia high school in collaboration with various organizations in the field of health, education and women empowerment. These clippings stand as a witness to the life of St. Julie which continues to inspire us now and forever.
