Taekwondo


Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that focuses on high, fast kicks, powerful strikes, and strong self-discipline. Taekwondo improves flexibility, strength, confidence, and focus. It also teaches important values like respect, perseverance, and self-control. Today, Taekwondo is practiced by millions of people around the world for self-defence, fitness, and competition. The students - Aadya J of class 8A, Ganavi A of class 8C, Poorvi M of class 8B, Tanisha S of class 8B and Mishika of class 7C have commendably represented the institution by actively participating in the following

championships:
1. District level championship was held at Koramangala indoor stadium from 24 th - 25 th May 2025 in which Aadya J, Ganavi A and Poorvi M won 2 gold medals in each of the participation category and overall 6 medals in this championship. Tanisha S has participated in the 8th KTA CUP and has won 1 medal.

2. 8th KTA CUP which was held at Kanteerava indoor stadium from 1 st February 2026 in which Tanisha S has participated and has won 1 medal. S.A. Ancila Iris Letitia has won 1 medal.

3. Asmitha Khelo India championship held at Koramangala indoor stadium from 9th-10 th August 2025 in which Aadya J, Ganavi A and Poorvi M have won 6 medals overall in this championship. Mishika -7C participated in regionals held at Turnbridge High School on 23/07/2025 and won a Gold medal in Kyurogi.

4. 4th Karnataka Mini Olympics held at Kanteerava indoor stadium, from 2nd - 9th November 2025 in which Aadya J and Poorvi M won 2 medals overall in this championship. Mishika -7C participated at the state level championship held at Mitra academy on 30/07/25 won silver medal.

5. Karnataka Rajyotsava Cup, which was held in Koramangala Indoor Stadium from 13th - 15th December 2025 in which Aadya J, Ganavi A, and Poorvi M won 6 medals overall in this championship. Tanisha S has also participated and won 2 medal. S.A. Ancila Iris Letitia, Vaishaka Karthik, Aadhya Gowri, Lizvin D Almeida, Naina P have participated and have won 7 medals overall.

6. 1st Federation Cup which was held at Nasik, Maharashtra from 24th - 29th April 2025 in which Aadya J, Ganavi A and Poorvi M have won an overall of 5 National medals representing Karnataka in this championship.

7. 2nd Federation Cup which was held at Jaipur, Rajasthan from 18th to 24th January 2026 in which Aadya J, Ganavi A and Poorvi M have won an overall of 3 National medals representing Karnataka in this championship. Tanisha S has participated in the. BTF Cup – 2nd National Level ITF Taekwondo Championship – 2025 event and has won three medals overall.

8. Asian Championship Selections which was held at Punjab from 22nd to 24th June 2025. Aadya J, Ganavi A and Poorvi M got selected for Asian Championship by winning the first place in Group poomsae competing against team Maharashtra in the final round.

9. Participated in the 6th ASIAN CADET TAEKWONDO POOMSAE CHAMPIONSHIP, REPRESENTING TEAM INDIA at Kuching, Sarawak Malaysia from 29 July to 1 August 2025 and ranking 5th in the cadet female group poomsae category.

In the international championship that we have participated in, there were many participating countries which include India, Korea, Mongolia, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Malasiya and other Asian countries. The competition was intense. Overall, we had a very good experience. There were over 2000 participants in this championship.

Her guidance has created an environment where talents truly flourish.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated Team Manager Ms. Anitha for her exceptional leadership, commitment, and tireless efforts. Her patience, discipline, and motivation have played a significant role in shaping the confidence, strength, and sportsmanship of every student.
