Advanced Excel and Tally Certification Programmes 2026
Sophia High School in partnership with Havana Yukta Solutions
In October 2026, Sophia High School, in partnership with Havana Yukta
Solutions, conducted two certification programmes for its ISC students:
Advanced Excel and Tally Prime with GST. Both programmes were designed to
equip students with practical, career-ready skills alongside their academic
studies.
The Advanced Excel programme was conducted from 8 to 15 October under the
guidance of Mr. G. Sarvanan. Participants explored automation functions, Pivot
Tables and Pivot Charts, what-if analysis, dynamic charts, auditing tools, and
different categories of functions and formulas.
The Tally Prime with GST programme ran from 1 to 15 October under the
guidance of Mr. Vimal Kumar. Beginning with the fundamentals of accounting,
the course progressed to company creation, the chart of accounts, inventory
management, GST, TDS, payroll, banking, financial statements and MIS reports.
Although the programme was intended for ISC students, we were pleased to
welcome an enthusiastic student from Standard 10 as well.
The certification examinations for both programmes were held on the school
campus on 16 October. Approximately 55 students appeared for the two
examinations, and all participants successfully cleared them. They will receive
their certificates in recognition of their achievement.
These programmes provided valuable learning experiences beyond the
classroom. Both instructors were patient, clear and accommodating, addressing
students’ doubts and offering precise feedback throughout the training. The
students strengthened their analytical thinking, developed confidence in using
these applications and gained practical insights into their real-world applications.
These skills will prove valuable in their higher education and future careers.
