Traffic Awareness Program

A traffic awareness program for school van drivers was successfully conducted on 31st August 2024. The event was attended by 45 van drivers, along with Sr. Alpana, Sr. Vishala, and PTA members.

The program began with a prayer and welcome by Ms.Nathalia. Mr.Ataulla Baig from the Traffic Police Department, High Grounds Police Station, was the Guest Speaker. He delivered a detailed presentation on traffic rules and regulations, utilizing a power point presentation to enhance understanding.

Mr. Mahesh from PE department addressed the van drivers, elaborating on the specific school rules related to transportation, safety protocols, and expected conduct. Problems related to finding suitable parking spots near school premises were discussed. Issues regarding the safety of children the need for improved safety measures were highlighted. Stressed the need for drivers to wear the prescribed uniform while on duty to maintain a professional appearance. Emphasized the importance of understanding and adhering to the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Also, clarified school timings and the importance of punctuality.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Praveen. Participants were also provided with breakfast, which facilitated informal networking and discussion.

Overall, the program was well-received and provided valuable insights for improving safety and compliance.
