On November 16th, 2022, Sophia High School, in collaboration with Namma
Bengaluru Foundation and the Bengaluru Traffic Police observed a Road
Safety Awareness Drive involving over a hundred students from the Interact
Club, Student Council leaders body, NCC, PE department and teachers and
management. A pledge of road safety rules was given by Chief Guest Ms.
Kala Krishnaswamy, DCP Traffic East Division, Bengaluru Traffic police and
taken by the gathering of Principals, students early at 7am along with other
distinguished guests like Traffic warden Kareem, Vinod Jacob General
manager NBF including Circle Inspector Sharanappa. Later the children
flanked both sides of the roads leading to Basaveshwara junction with creative
placards on Road Safety rules and raising slogans for an hour just before
school hours. The buzz created by the youth will contribute in Bangalore
Traffic Police's mission of citizen safety.
