Pollution Control Board celebrated World Environment Day & Vana
Mahotsava 2024 with a ceremony for the Environment & Biodiversity Award
Presentation & a Walkathon on 3rd July, 2024 presided by the CM of
Karnataka, Siddaramiah, Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre and other
government officials.
Motivated by our Principal Sr.Alpana, around 30 Sophia Interactors and
Environment Studies students accompanied by 2 teachers took part in the
Bengaluru Schools Walkathon for Environment from Vidhana Soudha to
Kanteerva Indoor Stadium at 9:30 a.m. They pledged that Each one would
Plant one to restore Karnataka & s forest cover and wildlife. The students were
gifted a sapling each to enforce their pledge. They returned to school by 1:30
p.m. enriched by this experience.
