NCC – COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP
From Sophia High School 29 cadets attended COMBINED ANNUAL TRAINING CAMP for 10 days held in Brindavan Group of Institution, Yalahanka accompanied by NCC Co-ordinator Ms. Smitha S H.
They had Drill Practice, theory classes, sports and cultural activities. The schedule would start at 5:30 am and all the cadets would go to bed by 10:30 pm. Cadets had difficulty in adjusting to the schedule initially, but as the days passed they got adapted to the schedule and were on time for reporting. Cadets gained a lot of knowledge during the days of the camp. They also learnt to be independent, punctual, help each other in decision making and follow rules.
At 5:30 am all the cadets would assemble in the ground for PT and Drill practice. After breakfast, theory classes would commence which included Map reading, Weapon Training etc.
Cadets also participated in sports activities like Throw Ball, Tug Of War, Basket Ball, Relay and Dodge Ball. Out of 5 events held our school won prizes for 3 sport activities.
They grabbed 1st place in Basket Ball, 2nd place in Throw ball and 3rd place in Relay.
On 19th of July, they all participated in cultural activity which was held in Delhi Public School North Bangalore. Talented cadets won 1st place in Group dance, Solo dance and Group song.
Cadet Jia Mehta Won Consolation prize for “Best Cadet Competition” and she also won 1stplace in “Best Drill Competition” under Junior Wing category.
On 25/07/2022 all the cadets who successfully completed their camp received their camp certificates from Sister Alpana our Principal who appreciated their hard work, during the assembly held in school. With her constant support and encouragement cadets were motivated and were able to achieve the prizes
during the camp held.
