Environment Day assembly report

On the 3rd of June, 2022, the Environment Day assembly was held in the Sophia School campus from 8 a.m to 8.30 a.m in the presence of the principals and teaching staff to promote sustainable living with slogans by EVS students and DIY activities demonstrated by Interact Club students that run the gamut from organic skin care and fashion to plastic free decor and games.

Principals Sr.Alpana, Sr.Vishala and Sr.Madhuja, and Sr.Divya with Sr.Shiny did their role on the 50 th anniversary of Only One Earth themed World Environment Day by planting seeds in DIY Eco friendly biodegradable pots of cocopeat. The Interact teachers Ms. Nisha, Prithvi, Anitha S, Roshni,Shushma and Alphonsa also symbolically took part in this.

Sophia High School Interact Club adopted the theme Dharthi Namma Nidhi to celebrate this occasion with the treasurable value of the earth to be preserved by simple carbon footprint free DIY items. Sahana of class 10 presented the principal with an eco-friendly coffee painting.

Schools are seats of transformational ideas and our students contributed to a course correction for a sustainable lifestyle by sharing a DIY E-booklet.
