SOPHIA HIGH SCHOOL INTERACT CLUB INSTALLATION REPORT [2021-22]

Present: Sophia High School Interact Club (past and present) with Sponsor club Rotary Koramangla.
The Installation Ceremony began at 5:00pm on August 5, 2021, with the office bearers of the Rotary Clubs and the District, Principal Sr. Alpana (patron of Sophia High School Interact Club), Interact Club teachers, past and present members of the Sophia Interact Club and parents of the Interact Club members present.
The Rotarians in attendance were the Chief Guest, RTN. Savitha Suresh, District Youth Service Director and guests of honour President RCB Koramangla, RTN. Ikram Ahmed Khan, District Interact Committee Chairman, RTN. Umesh Putanna, Secretary RCB Koramangala, RTN. Ravi Kumar, Youth service director Rotary Koramangala, RTN Rabiya Kulsum, DIR Jyosshika Lahiri. This CUMA choir under music teacher Ms. Annie’s guidance rendered the invocation song ‘Indescribable’ and the Immediate Past President, Rhea Elizabeth Mathew, called the meeting to order. Past Director Media and Press, Ms. Trisha Lynette Nathan presented theglimpses of the projects undertaken by Sophia High School Interact club during the year 2020-2021. Rhea Elizabeth Mathew, the outgoing president, in her speech delved deeper into the programmes undertaken by the club and encouraged the incoming team to continue with the good work. Due to Covid restrictions the Installation ceremony was a hybrid ceremony with the parents badging the girls in their homes. The collage of these pictures was presented during the ceremony. Teacher Ms. Sneha Ram was bid a warm farewell from the Interact after a 10 year stint as she addressed the gathering for the last time. New teachers Ms Maria Shushma and Ms Roshni Joy, were then welcomed and joined the existing team of Ms. Alphonsa, Ms. Anitha Saldanha, Ms. Prithvi Shastry and Ms. Nisha De Souza.
The new president of the club, Anhiti Chirayath, then addressed the club and also laid out her vision for the members. In their speeches the Rotarians recognized the excellent work being done by the club and provided the team tips and encouragement to continue the good work. Our Principal thanked the outgoing team for their excellent work and encouraged the current team to use this opportunity to do better. The past Interactors were awarded certificates for their excellent work in the pandemic year. The school song was sung after the Vote of thanks by the Vice-President, Aanya Samuel. The evening of wonder for the new Interactors and their families finally drew to a close as the new Secretary Carol Biju, with the symbolic three knocks of the gavel adjourned the meeting.
