YuvatiBhavatiUdaan – a Nest Making Activity for Homing Birds
The Sophia Interact club held its YuvatiBhavati-Udaan, on the 2nd of October, 2021 as it collaborated with Rotary Spandana under Rotarians Shankar and Lavanya to conduct an hour long workshop on zoom with the Nest Man of India, a national awardee, 2 times Limca book of Records holder and Earth Day Network Star, none other than
Mr. Rakesh Khatri. Class 8 Sophia students and Interactors from 2 other clubs like Interact club of Notre Dame Academy were also a part of it.
The patented kits were acquired and distributed to the kids by
Rotn. Shankar and the children enjoyed using their hands to actually build aerodynamic and stable nests to bring back the missing sparrows of Bangalore. These nests are perched up to welcome our feathered friends in a useful ecological exercise.
